Client application

Application forms must be completed and returned before a child can be considered for entry into Little Monkeys Nursery. Little Monkeys will endeavour to ensure that a number of places will be reserved for full time children and the remaining sessions will be available for parents requiring part time provision. Wherever possible, however, every attempt will be made to meet individual requirements. Part time places are generally restricted to those under 12 months, in order to provide sufficient continuity, the minimum number of sessions available for older children is two sessions per week.

Nursery closure

Little Monkeys will close Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and 2 January. However, the nursery will be open on all other Bank Holidays. Normal charges will apply for those days.

Prior to the start date you shall arrange for payment of the administration fee and place deposit (if applicable). The first month's place fees are payable on the start date therefore, in advance by on each subsequent payment date. Payment can be made by direct debit, cheque or cash. Little Monkeys shall not be obliged to admit the child upon failure by you to pay the place deposit and/or place fees by the start date or on any payment date.

You will not be entitled to any refund or release from liability for payment of place fees by virtue of non attendance of a child at the nursery for any reason.

Parents are required to inform the Manager if they are going to be late to ensure there is sufficient staff cover. If children are not collected before the official nursery closing time it will be necessary to make an extra charge of £5 per 15 minutes late. This will be at the discretion of the Manager.

Little Monkeys reserves the right to amend/terminate sessions in which case one month's notice will be given.

If a child enters nursery under a Corporate Partnership scheme you will be liable for payment of all fees for the time your child spent at nursery should you remove them at any time within the first three months.

An invoice will be issued at the beginning of each billing period. Standard sessions will be charged at a fixed monthly rate based on the normal weekly attendance of the child extra sessions or additional charges will be invoiced in arrears.

Termination/cancellation/change

If you cancel the place during the three months prior to the agreed start date Little Monkeys will retain the place deposit (if applicable). Any postponements of the start date will require two months notice, failing which the place fee will be charged from the original start date. Little Monkeys shall have the right at any time by serving a notice in writing on you to terminate or change the agreement with immediate effect if you fail to pay a place fee within seven days of the due date.

All arrangements for places will be registered with the nursery as per your requirements detailed overleaf and will continue until you wish to terminate/change your child's place. Once started either party shall be entitled to terminate or change the agreement according to availability at any time, upon giving the other two months written notice or if either party shall be in breach of the agreement and shall fail to cure such breach within seven days, following service by the other party of written notice specifying the details of such a breach. Notice must be given by the 1st of the month. Termination of places shall take place on the last day of the calendar month following.

On termination of this agreement Little Monkeys has the right to receive full payment during the notice period, whether the child attends the day nursery or not.

Liability

Little Monkeys accept no liability for any pecuniary or other loss suffered by you arising directly or indirectly as a result of the nursery being temporarily closed or the non - attendance of the child to the nursery for any reason.

Property and belongings

Little Monkeys cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to children's property (unless this is due to the negligence of its staff). Every reasonable effort will be made by our staff to ensure the children's belongings are not lost or damaged. Practical 'inexpensive' clothing is strongly recommended. Little Monkeys' children's sweatshirts and poloshirts are available for purchase.

Insurance

Little Monkeys have extensive insurance cover.

Accident procedure

Little Monkeys reserves the right to administer basic first aid and treatment when necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and will be required to sign their child's accident form. For accidents of a more serious nature involving hospital treatment, all attempts will be made to contact parents, but failing this Little Monkeys is authorised to act on behalf of parents and authorise necessary treatment. Parents are requested to inform Little Monkeys of any changes to information store in the child's personal file.

Child health records

Little Monkeys require parents to complete Child Health Records. Little Monkeys will require emergency contact names, medical information regarding allergies, dietary or health requirements. Immunisation is a condition of Little Monkeys entrance unless otherwise recommended by the child's GP.

Medicine consent forms

Little Monkeys staff will administer prescribed medicine if parents complete a Medicine Consent Form.

Children

Little Monkeys may require you to withdraw your child from the nursery in the event that the child requires special medical care or attention, which is not available or which is advised by you, or it is considered the child is not well enough to attend. You may also be required to withdraw your child if Little Monkeys has reasonable cause to believe that the child is or may be suffering or has suffered from any contagious disease and there remains a danger that other children at the nursery may contract such a disease. Please read the literature provided regarding incubation and exclusion periods. Little Monkeys have a realistic attitude to the needs of working parents but reserve the right to contact parents if the child becomes ill during nursery hours. Parents are requested to inform the nursery if their child contracts any (normal childhood) complaints or illness. Little Monkeys may require you to withdraw your child from the nursery in the event that the Nursery Manager considers your child to be disruptive or displaying inappropriate behaviour.

Security

Under no circumstances will a child be allowed to leave the nursery with anyone unknown to the nursery staff unless previously arranged by the parent or guardian. If parents make prior arrangement by telephone, the nursery will require name, address and telephone number of the chosen guardian and they will require proof of identity on arrival.

Little Monkeys reserves the right to update/amend these terms and conditions at any time.
